HOT DIAMONDS IN COLD BLOOD  (1966)  Original title: "L'Uomo del Colpo Perfetto."  One of the rarer Euro spy films available in English.  During transport from Germany to Holland, a large supply of precious gems is stolen.  Secret agent Norton (played by Richard Harrison) is put on the job to locate the stash.  He ends up in Malaga, where he tracks down the thieves, and begins to set his trap for them.    Luis Davila, Rosalba Neri, Diana Lorys, and Alida Chelli, also star in this film from director Aldo Florio.  Upgrade!!  Dubbed in English, with Greek subtitles.  (A-/B). 

HOW TO KILL 400 DUPONTS  (1967)  Original title: "Arriva Dorellik."  Good espionage action from director Stefano Vanzina (Steno). The plot has comedian Johnny Dorelli as a phantom hit-man in need of work, who subsequently is hired to find out who is killing members of the elite Dupont family. ISLAND OF THE LOST GIRLS  (1968)  Classic spy action thriller, which casts the familiar team of Brad Harris and Tony Kendall as two investigators called to Bangkok to look into the kidnapping of an American tourist.  Their information leads them to a strange cult (run by an Oriental "madam) which kidnaps girls, drugs them, and has them conveyed to a secret island, to act as "escorts" to wealthy tourists.  An excellent choice for lovers of Italian exploitation cinema.  Directed by Roberto Mauri.  Dubbed in English.  (A-/B).

Dr. Coleman has discovered an alternative source of energy and agent Bob Fleming (Richard Harrison) has been assigned to impersonate him in order to locate the group out to kill him (Gee it wouldn't be that Texas Oil Millionaire would it?). KISS KISS, KILL KILL  (1965)  Original title: "Kommissar X: Jagd Auf Unbekannt."  Tony Kendall, Brad Harris, and Maria Perschy, star in this spy/espionage adventure. Interpol agent Captain Rowland and his private eye/ soldier of fortune partner Joe Walker investigate deaths of politicos and scientist in the Mediterranean. LAISSEZ TIRER LES TIREUR  (1964)  Here's a must for Eddie Constantine completists - a forgotten entry in the series of French spy films he made during the 60's.  We don't understand French, but it looks like ol' Eddie plays (as usual) a hard-guzzling ladies' man involved in some criminal scheme.  Also starring Maria Grazia Spina, Daphne Dayle, and others.  Directed by Guy Lefranc.  Dubbed in French, with no subtitles.  (B/B-).

LAST MAN TO KILL  (1966)  Roger Browne plays Michael King, a master swindler who is hired by a rich industrialist to find his missing son.  King goes to Egypt, where, after many hair-raising adventures, he learns that the son has been murdered, but when his employer asks him to hunt down the killers, King traces the crime to the theft of a top secret scientific formula.  Fearing that he now knows too much, the boss tries to have him killed.  A fun spy/espionage tale also starring Erika Blanc, Dina De Santis, Wilbert Bradley, and Carlo Hinterman.  Directed by Umberto Lenzi.  Dubbed in English.  (B/B-).
