GET MEAN  (1976)  Spaghetti western starring Tony Anthony as gunman on a quest to Spain to rescue a princess.  Along the way, he must battle Vikings and Moors, as well as other unsavory characters.  Also starring Diana Lorys, Raf Baldassarre, Lloyd Battista, and others.  Directed by Ferdinando Baldi.  Dubbed in English.  (A-/B). 

GET RITA  (1975)  Original title: "La Pupa del Gangster."  Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, Pierre Brice, Dalila Di Lazzaro, and others, star in this cheesy crime/ comedy outing centering around gangsters, private eyes, and prostitutes.  Directed by Giorgio Capitani.  Dubbed in English, with Greek subtitles.  (A/A-).

GIACOMO L'IDEALISTA  (1943)  Giacomo, a professor of philosophy, returns to his native village after serving in a campaign with Garibaldi.  However, due to family troubles, he's forced to put his plans on hold, as also his marriage with Celestina, an orphan raised by the family.  Giacomo also learns that there is another suitor for her hand, and this causes complications, especially when Celestina is violated by him.  Starring Massimo Serato, Marina Berti, Andrea Checchi, Giulio Tempesti, Tina Lattanzi, Attilio Dottesio, and others.  Directed by Alberto Lattuada.  Dubbed in Italian, with no subtitles.  (B/B-).

GIANT OF EVIL ISLAND  (1965)  Original title: "Il Mistero Dell'Isola Maledetta."  Captain Pedro (played by Peter Lupus a.k.a. Rock Stevens) is the newly appointed leader of a Spanish galleon sent to destroy Evil Island, the hideout of accursed pirate Maloch and his brutal ruffians. His mission is thwarted when Alma, a former slavegirl and wealthy Creole plantation mistress, tips off Maloch as to which ships the Spanish plan to attack. In retaliation, Maloch kidnaps and robs the fine ladies of Puerto Suarez while they're on route to their home port. GOD FORGIVES, I DON'T  (1968)  Original title: "Dio Perdona.. GOD'S GUN  (1972)  Original title: "Diamante Lobo."  This spaghetti western casts Lee Van Cleef in a dual role: a courageous priest, shot down defending his village from a marauding gang, and his gunslinging twin brother, who's out to prove that vengeance is his. GODFATHER'S ADVISOR  (1973)  Original title: "La Legge Della Camorra."   Great crime/mafia film from director Demofilo Fidani.  Donna Carolina, the widow of a mafia kingpin, reminisces on the good old days of violence.  Lots of action and sleaze in this hard-to-find entry starring Dino Strano, Simonetta Vitelli, Marco Guglielmi, Jeff Cameron, and others.  Dubbed in English.  (A/A-).

GODSON, THE  (1971)  Original title: "Cose di Cosa Nostra."  Carlo Giuffre plays a family man forced into working for the mafia, in this seldom-seen crime drama from director Stefano Vanzina.  Also starring Pamela Tiffin, Salvo Randone, Agnes Spaak, and others.  Dubbed in English, with Greek subtitles.  (A/A-).

GOLDEN GIRL  (1974)  Also known as: "Karate Girl."  Obscure Turkish rape/revenge film dubbed in English.  A mute girl witnesses the brutal murder of her father, and the near-death stabbing of her new boyfriend, so she teaches herself karate, and goes after the criminals with a vengeance.  Has a tendency to get violent at times.  Dubbed in English, with Greek subtitles.  (A-/B).

GOLDEN MISTRESS, THE  (1954)  Also known as: "Il Pescatore di Haiti."  A mysterious voodoo idol leads an adventurous treasure-hunter to secret island cult.  Good adventure flick starring .John Agar, Rosemarie Bowe, Abner Biberman, Jacques Molant, and others.  Directed by Abner Biberman.  Dubbed in English.  (A/A-).

GORDON, THE BLACK PIRATE  (1961)  Also known as: "The Black Buccaneer."  In his valiant effort to put an end to the abomination of slavery on the Caribbean island of Tortuga, the Black Buccaneer (played by Ricardo Montalban) finds himself in opposition to the evil Romero (Vincent price).  Also stars Giuliana Rubini, Liana Orfei, Mario Feliciani, Andrea Fantasia, Gino Marturano, and Edoardo Toniolo.  Directed by Mario Costa.  Dubbed in English.  (A-/B).

GUN FOR A COP  (1981)  Also known as: "Il Carabiniere."  Now in English!!  Rare Euro crime drama which stars Enrico Maria Salerno as a property developer who tries to take over the land of a farming family.  When the sons fight back, and one gets involved with the developer's daughter, he hires hit men to cut them down.  But one of the sons has become a cop, making it possible to get revenge in the name of the law.
