The directing is not so good as for North by northwest, a movie with the same tempo and fun to a too serious-acting. But it uses advisedly the James Bond toolkit. De Funès and Jean Marais are perfect to make the whole thing work throughout that good model of what was popular French cinema in the 60s. Directed by Andre Hunebelle.
