BLACK JACK  (1968)  Gianfranco Baldanello directs this sadistic spaghetti western.  Robert Woods plays a criminal mastermind who has just engineered a successful bank robbery.  However, he is cheated by his men, beaten, and left for dead.  He vows revenge, and like a man risen from the dead, begins stalking his enemies down one by one.  Needless to say, they meet with several gory deaths.  Also stars Rik Battaglia, Mimmo Palmara, and Federico Chentrens.  Upgrade!!  Excellent quality print, which is much better than the one currently being offered.  Dubbed in English.  (A/A-).

DEAF SMITH AND JOHNNY EARS  (1972)  Original title: "Los Amigos."  Set in 1830's Texas just after the Republic won its independence from Mexico. President Sam Houston instructs one of his agents, deaf-mute Erastus "Deaf" Smith, to infiltrate and put down one of the growing rebel factions. Accompanying him is his friend Johnny Ears, who must not only do Smith's hearing for him, but must also conceal Smith's handicap, as the rebels have intercepted a message that a deaf-mute spy is in their midst.  Stars Franco Nero, Anthony Quinn, Pamela Tiffin, and others.  Directed by Paolo Cavara.  Dubbed in English.  (A-/B).

DEATH AT OWELL ROCK  (1967)  Also known as: "Death Does Not Count the Dollars."  Here's a rare treat for Spaghetti Western fans, Riccardo Freda's only attempt at the genre, and it's a shame he didn't make more. A town is controlled by the Lester gang who murder anyone in their path. DEATH ON A HIGH MOUNTAIN  (1969)  Original title: "La Morte Sull'Alta Collina."  Everything goes haywire after a dimwitted Mexican bandit (and his gang) rob a bank.  Very rare spaghetti western starring Peter Lee Lawrence, Luis Davila, Tano Cimarosa, Agnes Spaak, Nello Pazzafini, and others.  Directed by Fernando Cerchio.  Dubbed in English, with Hebrew subtitles.  (B/B-). 

DEATH PLAYED THE FLUTE  (1972)  Also known as: "Requiem for a Bounty Killer."  Extremely rare spaghetti western, which borrows some elements from the giallo film.  After Nick Burton's family is raped and murdered by outlaws, he vows to track down the killers.  To make the job easier, he hires a lone gunslinger named Lester, who, unknown to Burton,  participated in the raid and murder of his family.  The gunslinger sets out to help Burton kill the outlaws, but he makes sure they die before any of them can talk.  A very grim and downbeat, but strangely appealing film, which is definitely worth a look.  Stars Michael Forest, Giovanni Petrucci, Remo Capitani, Anna Bacchi, Antonio Molino Rjo, and others.  Directed by Angelo Pannaccio.  Superior-quality print.  Dubbed in English, with Greek subtitles.  (A-/B).

DJANGO'S CUT PRICE CORPSES  (1972)  Also known as: "Even Django Has A Price."  Director Paolo (SS HELLCAMP) Solvay tries his hand at the Spaghetti western genre and produces a rather offbeat entry. Django (Jeff Cameron) is looking for the Cortez brothers because they have a huge bounty on their heads. They also have their own goldmine which makes them wanted by a whole host of people, good and bad. A terrific score complements this obscure genre film.  Dubbed in English, with Dutch subtitles.  (B/B-).

DON'T WAIT, DJANGO... SHOOT!  (1967)  Original title: "Non Aspettare, Django.. EL ROJO  (1967)  The Sorenson family is massacred, apparently by Indians. On the site of the killing, a town is established, run by a group of businessmen.
