TRAMPLERS, THE (1966) Excellent spaghetti western, which was quite a cash in for U.S. and Italian markets, but has since been virtually forgotten. Joseph Cotten plays a sadistic rancher who lynches a Yankee newspaperman for attempting to liberate slaves after the Civil War. He also has his sons rough up those who don't agree with his policies. Eventually, one of his sons (Gordon Scott) befriends the daughter of the lynched man, and a family war breaks out. Also stars James Mitchum, Ilaria Occhini, and Franco Nero.
